About DIBI I

Decarbonisation Pathways for Indonesia’s Buses Infrastructure

Overview

DIBI I is a KONEKSI-supported initiative co-designed by Australian and Indonesian partners to help cities plan and scale electric bus adoption. The project blends routing and energy estimation, renewable energy integration, and ecosystem-based planning with a strong emphasis on social inclusion (GEDSI).

Objectives

  • Develop practical pathways for bus fleet electrification and depot readiness.
  • Assess energy efficiency, thermal/noise comfort, and pollution reduction at depots.
  • Integrate solar PV and battery storage within charging strategies.
  • Evaluate community impact using GEDSI criteria to ensure equitable outcomes.
